Amara lunicollis (Schiödte, 1837)
All the Amaras are a diffcult group of Carabids to identify and cannot really be done from photographs. This one was found on an area of sandy ground near Edwinstowe in August 2012 and was eventually identified as Amara lunicollis. Widespread throughout much of the UK.
