Tetrops
praeustus (Linnaeus, 1758) ![]() |
||
Recorded for the first time in the Sherwood Forest area since historical times, being found by beating foliage at Sherwood Forest CP in May 2009. Across the UK, this seems to be a fairly widespread Longhorn, which we have since found at several sites local to the Sherwood Forest area. The beetles are often easy to find, as they sit on the underside of the leaves of Hazel (Corylus avellana) but showing a preference for Goat Sallow (Salix caprea) around Sherwood Forest. | ||
