Tachyporus atriceps
Tachyporus atriceps is a tiny Rove Beetle, this record of which turned out to be the first for the Sherwood Forest area. Such a record is extremely likely to be due to it's small size, as it has been proven that much larger species can remain undetected for decades. This one was found under a log at Clipstone Old Quarter in April 2009.
