Stenus similis (Herbst, 1784)
Another small Rove Beetle, measuring just 5mm in length. Stenus similis seems reasonably common around the Sherwood Forest NNR, when samples of Stenus are taken for identification. The upper two images were of a beetle found with several other Stenus species, by sampling a grass tussock on Budby South Forest in late March 2013.
