Rhogogaster viridis (Linnaeus, 1758)
One of several green Sawflies, commonly found on or flying around low vegetation. Rhogogaster viridis is the commonest, being found widely in the Sherwood Forest area and at many other sites we visit. This one was photographed during survey work at a newly created wildlife garden in New Ollerton.
