| Ptinomorphus imperialis (Linnaeus, 1767)
Formerly Hedobia imperialis
| A small beetle with a recent name change from Hedobia imperialis to Ptinomorphus imperialis, which we recorded three times on May 23rd 2009 and which turned out to be the first Sherwood Forest NNR records since 1916, then never recorded it again until one at Cuckney Hay Wood in May 2018. It is a beetle found along old Hawthorn hedges, boring into the wood and is local across the southern UK and Midlands areas. | ||
