Psallus varians (Herrich-Schäffer, 1841)
Despite the paucity of records on the distribution map, Psallus varians is a common Plant Bug found early in the year on Oak. There are several very similar species, so identification is by no means easy and dissection is usually required to be certain. The ones illustrated were beaten off Oak at Sherwood Forest CP in early June 2017.
