Psallus falleni (Reuter, 1833)
A common Plant Bug found on Birch, but there are several other very similar species that make any identification difficult. Most Psallus cannot be identified from photographs, but a Psallus found on Birch towards the end of the Summer is often Psallus falleni. This is probably a widespread and common species across much of Nottinghamshire, but as there are few people recording them, we know little or nothing of their distribution.
