Platycis minutus (Fabricius, 1787)
Less commonly found than the slightly larger Pyropterus nigroruber, this is another scarce beetle with Nationally notable status. Known as Net-winged Beetles (Lycidae) both species tend to favour well vegetated sections in the shadier parts of Sherwood Forest CP. These one was found at Sherwood Forest CP in September 2011 (upper two photographs) and August 2009.
