Philonthus laminatus (Creutzer, 1799)
A fairly large Rove Beetle, which was found at Clipstone Old Quarter in early April 2009. With identification of most Staphs being very difficult, correct identification took months. There is just one historical Sherwood Forest record. Length 9mm.
