| Nationally,
this is a common ground bug of dry grassy sites, but not
a species we have found on many occasions in
Nottinghamshire. The adult is relatively dull, compared
to the attractively marked nymph in the lower photographs, which was
found at Vexation Lane near Edwinstowe in August 2012. Our other records
include a single swept from grass at Clipstone Old
Quarter in August 2017, but a number of these recently turned up in a
leaf/needle litter sample from underneath an old Yew, at Lowdham Church
in January 2026. |
