Notiophilus palustris (Duftschmid, 1812)
One of a group of distinctive, yet small Carabids. Notiophilus palustis is easily overlooked among the more commmoner species of the group and there are fewer records for the Sherwood Forest NNR area. This one was found in late April 2009.
