Margarinotus striola (Sahlberg, C.R., 1819)
Margarinotus striola is just one of a group of similar and difficult species to identify, the Histeridae. They are typically found under or in carrion, rotting vegetation or dung etc. Many, such as the one below, were found underneath a dead cat at Clipstone Old Quarter in April 2009.
