Magdalis ruficornis (Linnaeus, 1758)
A small weevil beaten from the flowers of Hawthorn at Sherwood Forest CP in May 2018. Previously unknown from the Sherwood Forest NNR, Magdalis ruficornis has been recorded very few times in Nottinghamshire over the years, but should be more common than the distribution map would indicate.
