Bordered Shieldbug Legnotus limbosus (Geoffroy, 1785)
A small black Shieldbug around 4mm in length, with only a handful of Nottinghamshire records. Legnotus limbatus is a small, ground living species feeding on Lady's Bedstraw and Goosegrass. Despite the paucity of records, the heathlands of Sherwood Forest may well be the most likely sites to find it, but records are from scattered localities and include at least one from an urban garden.
