Hygrotus nigrolineatus (Steven, 1808)
Despite being a difficult group to identify, it is still surprising that (apart from the efforts of Bob Merritt) Water Beetles have been largely ignored throughout all the recording at Sherwood Forest NNR. Consequently, some species such as this very small Hygrotus nigrolineatus, are still being recorded new to the NNR. This one was attracted to MV light at Sherwood Forest CP in August 2009. Length 3mm.
