Helophilus hybridus
One of several similar hoverflies with a distinct striped thorax, Helophilus hybridus is one of the largest species found in the Eakring area. The ones pictured, was found in early August 2007, at Penny Pasture Common Eakring Meadows and Shirebrook Pit Wood in August 2011.
