Hadroplontus litura
A small and common weevil, measuring around 3mm in length. The larvae mine the rosettes of Creeping Thistle, later feeding in the stems. Hadroplontus litura is commonly recorded in grassy areas, wherever the foodplant grows. Photographed at Eakring Meadows in July 2009.
