Empis livida (Linnaeus, 1758)
Presumed to be a common and widespread species over much of Nottinghamshire. With very little in the way of regular recording of our local Dipterous fauna, most Flies are severely under-recorded in the county. The one in the photographs was recorded and photographed in a Langold garden by Pauline Bradford in June 2016.
