Donacia semicuprea (Panzer, 1796) 
One of a number of very similar beetles found in Nottinghamshire wetlands, especially canals and gravel pits etc. Donacia semicuprea has a patchy distribution, with records clustered around Nottingham and the lower part of the Trent Valley and around Worksop, where it can be found along the Chesterfield Canal outside Kilton.
