Donacia cinerea (Herbst, 1784)
Very much a rare Donacia in Nottinghamshire, with just a single record from Orston Plaster Pits in 1992 (Wright, S.). Across much of the UK, it is widely (though rather patchily) distributed, occurring on a variety of marginal vegetation including Typha angustifolia, Phragmites, Carex and Sparganium. Grateful thanks to Tim Sexton for allowing the use of his photograph to illustrate the species.
