Ceratapion onopordi (Kirby, 1808)
Another small Weevil which usually found on Thistles, but not restricted to them and can be found on other plants. The one illustrated was found on Hollyhock (Alcea rosea). Tim Sexton found and photographed the specimen below near his home in Attenborough in 2016 and kindly allowed us to use his photographs here. Ceratapion onopordi is probably more widespread localy, than current records suggest.
