Bibio nigriventris (Haliday, 1833)
Well recorded in the county historically, yet there seems to be no records of Bibio nigriventris since around 1920. The absence of recent records of any species of Diptera in Nottinghamshire is hardly unusual, and many modern records have come from occasional invertebrate surveys of the Sherwood Forest area. However, this female Bibio nigriventris from late April 2017, does seem to be the first record for the Sherwood Forest NNR.
