Agriotes obscurus (Linnaeus, 1758)
This Agriotes obscurus seems to be the first record for Sherwood Forest NNR. It was found at the top of grass at Sherwood Forest CP on a fine sunny day, when there was much beetle activity in May 2009. Length around 10mm.
