European Oak Borer Agrilus sulcicollis (Lacordaire, 1835)
A jewel beetle which was only discovered new to Nottinghamshire in 2022, when found at the Sherwood Forest CP by Adrian Dutton. Further records have soon followed with at least two being seen on subsequent visits, attracted to one of many recently 'veteranised' trees within the forest. Agrilus sulcicollis was only found new to the UK as recently as 1994 and is sometimes more commonly referred to as the European Oak Borer.
