Xanthogramma citrofasciatum (De Geer, 1776)
A large and distinctive Hoverfly, but there are several other species to cause identification confusion. This Xanthogramma citrofasciatum was the first ever record for the Sherwood Forest area, when found in May 2013. Predominantly, a southern UK species.
