Stethorus pusillus (Herbst, 1797)
This tiny Coccinellid has been recorded from Nottinghamshire on a couple of occasions. It was first recorded by Nigel Slater as new to Nottinghamshire from Meadow Lane, Attenborough on 14/08/21 and this remained the county's only known record to date, until another was recorded during an invertebrate survey of Lambley's Trinity Church in 2023. In July 2024, Stethorus pusillus was found in good numbers, attacking heavy infestations of the Gorse Mite Tetranchyus lintearius, near the South Lawns area of Clumber Park. This species is found widely over much of the south-east UK and across into the West Midlands.
