Sigara limitata (Fieber, 1848)
The distribution map would suggest that Sigara limitata is one of the rarer Sigara species in Nottinghamshire. This is a species which is often recorded from ponds containing some vegetation, such as the one nearest the roadside entrance to Budby South Forest. As is so often the case with aquatic hemiptera, most of the records on the distribution map, are attributable to the recording work of Bob Merritt.
