Quedius cinctus (Paykull, 1790)
This seems to be an uncommon Staphylinid locally, with just a handful of recent records, including this one, taken from a sample of horse manure sample from near Inkersall Grange near Bilsthorpe. Like many Staphs, getting a photograph proved to be difficult and it eventually calmed down long enough to get a few photographs after three days in the fridge.
