Phaonia pallida (Fabricius, 1787)
Although Phaonia pallida has a generally westerly UK range, there is probably an element of undwer-recording in Nottinghamshire. Historically well recorded, there are few recent records but it has occurred at Netherfield Lagoons, Toton Sidings and Clipstone Old Quarter. Thanks go to Peter Smith for providing the photograph below, taken at Netherfield in early October 2020.
