Gastrophysa polygoni (Linnaeus, 1758)
This is a small and colourful leaf beetle, no more than 5mm in length, with metallic green wing cases and head, whilst the thorax is bright red. G. polygoni feeds on the leaves of various Polygonum sp and is a member of the Chrysomelidae family.
