| Colletes bees are small mining bees, nesting underground where the soil is friable. There are numerous species and species' are difficult to determine without dissection. This Colletes sp was found in Sherwood Forest during August 2006. They are distinguishable from other mining species, by the white banding on the abdomen. | |||
