Archarius villosus (Fabricius, 1781)
Until a recent name change, Archarius villosus was formerly known as Curculio villosus. A Nationally notable B species, this characteristic grey Weevil, was found on low vegetation at the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust's Gamston Wood reserve near Retford. There are known records from the Sherwood Forest area, but Archarius villosus has a scattered UK distribution, mostly in a line from the Severn to The Wash.
