Apion rubens (Stephens, 1839) 
Recorded from a handful of sites in Nottinghamshire, Apion rubens is very similar to several other red Apions and apart from a record at the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust's Wilwell Farm Cutting, all records have come from heathland sites, including Sherwood Heath, Clumber Park and Spalford Warren, with a 2021 record from the former Thoresby Colliery.
