Agonum gracile (Sturm, 1824)
A common and widespread beetle, usually found near water. Very similar to several other Agonum species, so care has to be taken with any identification attempt. We recorded these two examples under assorted flood refuse, alongside a strech of the River Trent at Stoke Bardolph in February 2013 and 2018.
