Agonum gracile (Sturm, 1824)
A common and widespread beetle, usually found near water. Very similar to several other Agonum species, so care has to be taken with any identification attempt. We recorded this one under flood refuse alongside a strech of the River Trent at Stoke Bardolph in February 2013.
