Xysticus cristatus (Clerck, 1757)
A common spider found on low vegetation, but we found several of these actually on the ground at Budby South Forest in late September 2009. There are some variations in the markings of this species. The lower two photographs show an adult male, again found at Budby South Forest in April 2010.
