Pardosa nigriceps (Thorell, 1856)
A common spider, which usually hunts low vegetation although not restricted to this. The female is illustrated in the top two photographs. The male Pardosa nigriceps in the lower two photographs, was found on Budby South Forest in late April 2010. There are several Sherwood Forest records, but this was the first for some seven years.
