Ozyptila trux (Blackwall, 1846)
A fairly large crab spider, and one which was not found in the Sherwood Forest NNR between 1978 and 2010, when we came across this female Ozyptila trux on grass. This spider may be quite uncommon around the reserve, but possibly just overlooked through a lack of regular recording. Photographed at Sherwood Forest CP in early May 2010.
