Ozyptila praticola (C.L. Koch, 1837)
Probably more wide-ranging in Nottinghamshire than the distribution map would indicate. This is a spider of leaf litter and low vegetation, the one photographed being beaten from the lowest branches of a Lawson's Cypress growing among Pines at Gibraltar Plantation near Carburton in June 2018. The only other recent county records we are aware of, are both from Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust reserves at Misson Carr and Walkeringham (both Williams, H.). The red mark on the spider's abdomen, may be indicative of recent parasitisation.
