Neriene clathrata
A common spider of low vegetation, where it makes a sheet web. The abdominal markings often vary in intensity to a degree. This one was found around the base of a grass tussock at Sherwood Forest CP in early May 2010. There have been several records in recent decades, with Neriene clathrata usually turning up on most arachnid surveys.
