Metellina mengei (Blackwall, 1869)
A common orb-weaving spider, which is virtually identical to Metellina segmentata. A key difference is the time of year when each species (generally) reaches maturity, with M. mengei usually mature by Spring, but note that this is not a reliable method if identification.
