Linyphia hortensis (Sundevall, 1830)
Linyphia hortensis is a spider of low vegetation where it makes a small sheet web and is described as being local, but widespread across the UK. It has never been commonly recorded at Sherwood Forest, but can be found by careful searching of low foliage. The ones illustrated were photographed at Sherwood Heath in July 2012 and Sherwood Forest CP in April 2010.
