Lamprochernes nodosus (Schrank, 1803)
This small Pseudoscorpion was found in good numbers, in a long standing manure heaps at Tug Bridge Farm near Eakring in December 2015 and at Church Warsop in April 2016. There are just three previous Nottinghamshire records for Lamprochernes nodosus, from Worksop in 1903, Clumber Park in 1955 and Sherwood Forest in 1969. A synanthropic species, L. nodosus is often found in garden compost heaps and dead trees.
