Floronia bucculenta (Clerck, 1757)
With the naked eye, this Lyniphid appears relatively plainly marked, but when seen well in photographs, is shown to be a beautifully marked spider. With just three recent records it is presently something of a rarity in Nottinghamshire with records from Staunton Quarry in 2000 (Merritt, B.), Eaton Wood in 2002 (Williams, H.) and Thieves Wood in 2021 (Pendleton, T.A.) where the one illustrated was beaten from Bilberry and adjacent low foliage.
