Cheiridium museorum (Leach, 1817)
A synanthropic species, usually found in houses, outbuildings and the nests of birds closely associated with buildings. In terms of known records, Cheiridium museorum could be thought of as being Nottinghamshire's most widespread Pseudoscorpion, with previous records from Southwell in 1962, Newark in 1977 and Sherwood Forest in 1978. The Sherwood Forest record remained the county's last known occurrence of C. museorum for almost 40 years, until one was found at Attenborough in December 2015 and the ones illustrated below, at Lambley in January 2016.
