Centromerus prudens (O.P.-Cambridge, 1873)
An uncommon spider in Nottinghamshire, generally restricted to areas of dry, sandy heathland. Most of the county's records we are have been sent, are from the Sherwood Forest area (including Rainworth Heath) but there are single records from Spalford Warren (Nicholas, J.) and from Bunny Old Wood (Braddock, A.). The male is illustrated.
