A Tachinid Fly of southern parts of the UK, with occasional records into Yorkshire. We are aware of recent records of Zophomyia temula from Dyscarr Wood in the north of the county, where it has been recorded on a couple of occasions in June 2014 and 2016 by Pauline Bradford, who sent the photograph below right for inclusion. Thanks also go to Phil Lee, who recorded and photographed (below left) this species in the Idle Valley area on a number of occasions in 2022.
