Almost certainly under-recorded in Nottinghamshire and personally
thought to be widespread in the forested areas of the county. The larval
feeding signs and exit holes on standing old trees and the damage caused
to young Pines, are probably more commonly seen than the number of times
the adult beetle has been recorded to date. There are recent records
from Centre Parcs, Budby South Forest and Clumber Park. Grateful thanks
go to Nick and Samantha Brownley, who provided the specimen below for
photography. |
