Terellia tussilaginis (Fabricius, 1775)
Terellia tussilaginis is an attractively marked Tephritid Fly, and probably more widespread around the county than the available records we have would suggest. The larvae feed on Burdock and sites where this plant grows, should be the starting point of any search. The ones in the photographs below, were found at Warsop Main Pit Top in June 2016 and Stoke Bardolph in July 2017.
