Subclytia rotundiventris (Fallén, 1820)
The NBN Atlas shows that records of this distinctive Tachinid are widespread across southern counties of the UK, but we cannot trace any records for Nottinghamshire (VC56) at the present time. The photographs below, were emailed to us for identification by Peter Smith and were taken by him at Netherfield Ash Lagoons in 2017. Subclytia rotundiventris is an parasitoid of several Shieldbug species. Our thanks go to Peter for allowing us to use his photographs on the website.
